Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/8 tsp paprika
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 12 oz shredded Mexican cheese (queso asadero or queso Oaxaca)
  • Optional toppings: salsa, sour cream, cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix sea salt, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Season both sides of the steak with the spice mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet and cook the steak to desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing thinly.
  4. In the same skillet, place a tortilla, add cheese on one half, top with steak slices, and more cheese. Fold and cook until golden.
  5. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Serve with desired toppings.
